In a bill signed by President Biden in 2022, he made clear that U.S. federal law would prohibit gender discrimination in health care, including protections for gay and transgender people. Mr. Biden said, ""I want to say to all young people: Be who you are, you are loved. I want you to know that as your president, all of us in this arena support you and stand up for you." Dear LGBT friends, we need to know that the public space belongs to us, too, and we are open and honest. Our experiences are real and credible, and each day brings us closer together. We need the same rights and access to the same opportunities. Let's be brave and speak up for ourselves in our lives or in social media. Have a passion and shine a light.
