This bundle includes six universal roll splints, including: (1) 4.5" x 36", (1) 4.5" x 18", (1) 4.5" x 9" and (3) 2" x 4" finger splints - PLUS one nylon zippered storage pouch with the contents printed on the pouch. Each splint is individually packaged. The Lightning X Universal "Roll" Splints have an extremely thin aluminum core covered by two layers of closed cell foam. This type of splint is highly customizable and can be used to splint virtually any bone in the body. It's pliable enough to be molded to all sorts of shapes, depending on the injury and application. To apply, simply unroll and bend the splint to the shape of the extremity and wrap with self-adherent gauze or triangle bandage. Can also be cut to length using trauma shears or even ordinary scissors. Once applied, the splint does not have to be removed for x-rays. As long as the surface isn't contaminated the splint can be rolled back up and stored for future use. Unlike other roll splints, ours our folded to size which uses less space and accomodates storage in trauma and first aid kits much better than competitors "rolled" splints. Our splints also have instructions for applying the splint printed on the front of each size.
