The LINE2design nasopharyngeal airways are made for the effective management of nasal airways while providing patient comfort. The soft PVC allows airways to ease the airways into the passages while reducing discomfort and the risk of injury. These airways are latex-free and come in a wide range of sizes. This NPA was designed to be dependable, efficient, comfortable, and secure. The product remains steady during transport. It is not easily dislodged. It is used by emergency care such as EMTs and paramedics in situations where an artificial form of airway maintenance is necessary but it is impossible or inadvisable to use an oropharyngeal airway, the preferred type of airway adjunct, or intubate, considered the most certain way to secure a patent airway, but the most medically invasive. In an unconscious patient, the suction of the upper airways may also be applied via a nasopharyngeal tube.
