This versatile food preparation board helps with day to day kitchen tasks such as grating, chopping, slicing and spreading. It provides a sturdy base on which to prepare foods without the risk of slippage. It also reduces the need for gripping or holding cooking implements or foods in place, which can be difficult if you have problems with your hands, such as arthritis. The board is also suitable for a person with only the use of one hand. The workstation measures 50 cm (20 inches) in length, 30 cm in width and 3.5 cm in depth (1½ inches). It will fit conveniently on most kitchen worktops or a table top and has a non-slip suction cup on the underside of each corner, which ensures it doesn't slip when in use. It's approximately 14.5 cm in height and weighs 1.7 kg (4 pounds). The workstation consists of a white, plastic board with several fixed and detachable components including a clamp, peeler, brush, spikes and spreader. The easy to operate clamp grips all sorts of food, bowls, jars or bottles securely. This is handy to hold a loaf of bread for easier slicing or to hold a jar in place for easier opening. You can even clamp a mixing bowl in place whilst whisking up a cake mixture so that arms don't tire as easily. There are eight stainless steel spikes in one spot of the board which are designed for you to place a food item such as a potato onto them to hold it in place for grating or slicing. Care should be taken when using the board as the spikes are quite sharp, and the board is therefore not suitable for use by children. One corner of the board has a raised lip on the bottom and side edge which creates an area perfect for spreading bread or toast without having to hold it. There's also a plastic scrubbing brush on the opposite side of the board for scrubbing vegetables and fruit. This detaches from the board if required. The workstation also features a removable peeler/grater box that can be used either fixed to the board or separately. It comes with a choice of three blade types including one for peeling or thin slicing and two for grating. These are easy to change. The workstation and all its components are easy to clean and can be washed in warm, soapy water. The workstation is not suitable for dishwasher cleaning.
