A: The suction cups are coated with a polyurethane gel. It is not an adhesive but rather a material with a low durometer, making it feel sticky to the touch. This enables suction to porous materials as well as solid. This gel can damage very thin materials such as paint or veneer so please be careful not to install on those types of surfaces Q: Suction is too strong. How do I remove it from my counter? A: Make sure the grey levers are in the up, unlocked position. Then, gently pull on black tabs until suction is released. If necessary, spray counter with a little water to make removal easier Q: What’s the best way to use the Shampoo Buddy? A: We recommend installing Shampoo Buddy so that the basin is directed toward the sink. Although some people may prefer putting smaller children’s shoulders in the basin to prevent them from rolling off the counter, it was designed to funnel the water into the sink. We recommend laying a towel down on the countertop and having your child lie on the towel with their head (not their shoulders) in the basin Q: My suction cups are no longer sticky. What can I do?
