A Simple Shift Delivers Big Impact During the changeover process at the SKIPPY plant when they switch from producing creamy to chunky, some jars filled with creamy, some jars with chunky, and some jars are a combination of the two. Even though it’s perfectly good peanut butter, the peanut butter spread product can’t be sold at retail because the recipes must have no deviations. The mix of peanut butter varieties is donated to Convoy of Hope. Hormel Foods has donated over 250,000 pounds of SKIPPY peanut butter spread to Convoy of Hope since 2019.
