Parsley (Petroselinum crispum var. neapolitanum) is an aromatic flowering plant in the Apiaceae (Umbelliferae) family. The plant is indigenous to the Mediterranean region but can also be found in Europe. It is widely cultivated as a spice, herb, and even a vegetable. It is most commonly used as an ingredient in cooking, but is also a popular garnish for many prepared meals. Our parsley has a rich, green color, and a mild flavor that's used to enrich various sauces, soups, vegetables, and more. Add it directly to your favorite dishes! There are two main types of parsley — the familiar curly leaf and flat leaf. Most suppliers sell the more common, weaker-flavored curly leaf parsley (Petroselinum crispum) because it's easier to bottle. We sell only the more robustly flavored flat leaf parsley (sometimes called Italian parsley), P. crispum var. neapolitanum. We choose to fill our bottles with the most flavorful organically grown parsley available. Best Uses: Culinary, tea, juices, mixed herbs, salads, salad dressing, sauces, cosmetics, face masks, facial steams, DIY cleaning products, soap FEATURES 1 pound bulk bag (16 ounces) Organic certified, Kosher certified, non-irradiated Bright colored with a mild, fresh flavor Enriches soups, sauces, dressings, and more Botanical name: Petroselinum crispum var. neapolitanum
