Grown and harvested locally in Dripping Springs, TX Dripping Springs has the perfect land conditions for growing olives, and also shares similarities to Italian landscapes- a reminder of our heritage. The trees in our organic orchard are planted on a slope in rocky limestone soil – the limestone keeps the soil more alkaline, the slope of the land and the rocks in the soil help with water drainage. There is always a nice breeze in the orchard which helps the pollinator trees (Pendolino variety) to pollinate the varieties that need pollinating. It was an entire family effort, and something we are all proud of! How To Taste Olive Oil Swirl Pour a teaspoon of olive oil into your cup. Cover the cup with one hand and swirl it delicately until the oil in the container is close to body temperature. Sniff Lift the cup to your nose and sniff deeply. Olive oils have aromas just like wines. Slurp Take a sip and hold it in your mouth. DO NOT SWALLOW. Roll the oil around in your mouth so that the oil touches all areas of the mouth.
